OMG. I wonder if this is the only day I'll ever be able to manage to sing FOUR OCTAVES. Oh, yeah. What started out as trying for a while in the shower to get the ringing sound (which I still have not got for a year already) became a test of my extreme ranges.
Tried the low low C first cos apparently there's a potential choir junior who can sing low low C. Rar. Couldn't really reach. I barely managed a croak. Then I tried the high notes. (I notice for about 5 notes above middle C the quality's different from when I sing even higher. Maybe the former is head voice and latter is true falsetto? gotta ask the 'experts' on sat haha). And it seemed like I reached a note higher than the G I managed last saturday. So I checked with my piano.
C. HIGH HIGH C!!!!! Wow. And to think just a few months back my falsetto range (or is it head voice I'm confused) was barely an octave. Oh yeah. Maybe it's the ringing training that's helped.
I got so excited I decided to try for the low low C again. And just when I was about to give up, I actually hit that only-one-tone-lower-than-D-but-much-harder-to-sing note! Oh yeah!!!!
4 octaves. Yay!
Hopefully I haven't hurt my voice or anything.
Hm... throat seems a bit strained now... but no pain or anything.
Okay time to study for tmr's maths test. Integration and Vectors.
