I never loved teacher's day so much. I have a much needed 2 day rest because of it. I still feel very tired from the perth camp. But, with holidays come work. There's actually not much work this time, but there's a chinese test. 250 chengyu. That means 250 zao ju to memorise. Sigh.
Anyway, the Teachers' Day celebration today was not bad. Better than the last few times. We had a hwachong idol contest this time. Nothing original, but the performances were not bad. Most of them, at least. And they were not restricted to solo performances, so we even had two bands performing. Both sucked, in my opinion. I went off in the middle of the performance back to my class, where some of us were busy preparing giant 'cards' for our teachers. Then when I went back, I realised I missed a performance by the college section. Heard daryl, B boys softball captain last year, was on bass. (btw, the college section had a separate performance. They had to do the aces day workout. didn't know aces stood for "All Children Exercising Simultaneously", lol)
After the celebration, I decided to go back to nyps. After all, it was just walking distance. I was asking around throughout the day. No one wanted to go back. So it was just Alvin and I going back to our primary school. I was hoping to see some of our ex-classmates, but I heard RGS still had exams, and most of us at HCI were not going. Dunno about RI or NY though. oh, and St Nicks, too. almost forgot. And River Valley. Almost forgot xiang shan too. In the end, though, both of us decided not to go in. We ended up walking around the school compound, outside the gates. So even if any other 6mer went back, we had no chance of meeting any of them.
We walked quite a long while to a bus stop, then we took a bus two stops to my home. Alvin had to take another bus :) Living close to school is good.
Well, I can sleep late today. And sleep in tomorrow. That's good. But having a school holiday means my brother will be hogging the computer in the morning. I guess that gives me time to bei zao ju.
