So, I finally went to the exhibition. Haven't been to the Science Centre in a while. I was surprised at the number of small/young children there. I guess the Science Centre really is a place for 'kids to play'. Managed to get a Child ticket. Well, they did state (3-16 yrs). I'm not lying about my age or anything.
Anyway, I was kinda looking forward to the exhibition. In the end, it turned out quite good... though it wasn't as grand as I expected. I was hoping for more 'props' though. Didn't really take much photos. And just yesterday I was wondering if I had enough space on my memory cards or if my camera battery would last. Oh well. It was still worth it.
Some of the props looked really... real. Some were... plastic-y. Although I was sort of surprised at how BIG everything was. R2D2, for one, was really tall! I thought he would be smaller. It seemed so in the movie. And all the models of characters from the movies looked really tall too. I know I'm not very tall myself... but why was everyone in Star Wars like 1.8? And the faces... aargh. Couldn't they just add a bit of colour, or make a coloured impression of the character? It seemed like they just used regular mannequins and put the costumes over.
Hm... am I complaining too much? I did enjoy the exhibition.... Those were just some 'minor' problems. And oh, it got quite cold. Probably 'cos very few people were in the mini-theatre where they showed the Making Of documentaries, and the air-con was on at full blast. Come to think of it... there were very few people around at the whole exhibition! I thought there'd be more people... maybe everyone else went already. Haha, it's probably gonna be deserted almost the every day next year.
Oh, and there was this Vader 'voice altering' thingy. It looked quite fun. Doesn't really work though. "Luke, I am your father" came out more like static than actual words I think. Maybe I wasn't saying it right. And there was also this "Force Mind Power" thing. Wearing this 'headband' with attached sensors, you're pitted against someone, and you have to get this ball towards away from you using "calm" thoughts. I thought I'd be able to manage that. Tried feeling sleepy, haha. It nearly worked! The ball rolled almost all the way to the other end! Maybe I got too excited then. The ball started rolling back to me. I saw Natalie (my opponent, haha) was closing her eyes, so I tried that. After a long while, it rolled back. To me. I'm quite sure I 'cleared my mind' though. Anyway, we tried the opposite, "feeling excited", to get the ball to move towards you. I wasn't the one laughing the entire time, but somehow I was more 'excited', haha. Or I just have more brainwaves, lol.
I'm really tired. Reaaallly tired. 5 hours at an exhibition really takes a toll on you. I only realised I was that tired when I got back from home for a while, had dinner then watched TV. I almost couldn't get up. Dozing off on the sofa! And that was one hour ago- I was feeling sleepy at 8 plus! Wahh.
I may post some pictures tomorrow. Though I don't think I got anything good. No flash is hard. Everything you take becomes blurr. I did get a good shot of some Yoda artwork though. Grevious too. Tomorrow. If I remember.
Zzz.
