Today wasn't as boring as yesterday. When I turned on my com today, and checked my usual sites, I realised from iLounge.com that Apple has released a new product. iPod nano. I was expecting that already, since I'm a regular at iLounge.com and they've speculated about it. I was a little excited by that, and spent quite a while looking at news about it. The more I looked at photos of it, the less weird it looked, and the more 'beautiful" it looked. Oh well, it still can't beat my good old 4G 20gb.
Then I also found out that Apple also finally released the 5th version of iTunes. I was pleasantly surprised to see the new user interface, or rather, the improved look of the user interface. Looks a lot better now, in my opinion.
I also managed to find mp3 downloads of live performances from the show RockstarINXS. RockstarINXS, for those who don't know, is sort of like a rock version of the Idol contests, where the winner will lead the band INXS. INXS's original lead singer, Michael Hutchence, died (suicide, i think) some time ago. I never heard of INXS before the show, but the show's good. I didn't have any favourite contestant until Marty Casey performed Wish You Were Here (originally by Pink Floyd) last week. I didn't hear the original before, but that performance ROCKED. It was just awesome. It was very very good. Then just yesterday, I saw his performance of an original song, "Trees". That was great too. So I decided to try and find mp3 downloads today. And suceeded. Yeah!
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
Blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
It's a masterpiece, man, this song.
