I've been Fac. Sec. (Facilities Secretary) of my class for 4 years. For 1J, 2J, 3K, and this year 4K. The past 3 years, I was fired. Sacked. Relieved of my duty. Whatever you wanna call it. lol. My form teachers were never satisfied with the cleaniness of the class. So I became the scapegoat. 3 times. I remember last year, our form teacher was very frustrated with the cleaniness of the class, or lack of it, that she sacked me and decided to put us into groups with group leaders for each day's duty. Of course, we had to get a new Fac. Sec. The class 'sabo-ed' Nigel. He didn't do anything. I don't think the class cleaniness improved either, but our form teacher sort of didn't care anymore. That's quite unfair, eh? But every year I still volunteer, 'cos I wanna try and last the whole year. So far, I'm doing quite well this year. I think I have a personal best of lasting 8 months. Not bad. I should be able to last the whole year.
Some more insight into the role of the Fac. Sec. (facilities secretary): There are 6 members in the class management comittee, or CMC. The Chairman, Monitor, Secretary, Treasurer, Facilities Secretary and Welfare Secretary. Guess who does the most work? Yes, the Fac Sec. Why? 'Cos that's the only person the Form Teacher comes after every day. Because he's in charge of class cleaniness. (Although this year I have it easier, my form teacher likes to go after the monitor instead of me when the class is dirty, haha). When the school year begins, we have to vote for memebers of the CMC. So people like to sabo others to be the Fac Sec. It's different for my class. I sabo myself. LOL. Still can't believe I'm doing it for the 4th year. Maybe I like the challenge. I think I remember saying to myself in the start of this year that I wanted to be Fac Sec again 'cos I wanted to last for a whole year, and not get sacked, and I also wanted to give myself some responsibility. So far it's working out quite well. Preserverence. haha
