3 more days to the Paper 2, and I haven't really touched Chinese yet. Mostly 'cos I've been playing with my new phone, but also 'cos when I finally feel like studying, I begin to feel sleepy. Well, those are all just excuses, I've gotta start. Better late than never. Got a lot to cover...
Didn't blog yesterday, but something really exciting happenedn yesterday. After lunch outside, my brother wanted to go to Borders. I didn't really feel like going anywhere, 'cos I was feeling guilty about slacking and not doing Chinese. But I had no choice. I had to go where the car went. So, I went to Borders.
Anyway, I first went to the Apple Centre, 'cos I redeemed a $50 voucher from Starhub for Apple Centre. There was nothing to get though. The Apple mouse looked very nice, but the price was very nice too. 38 bucks over my budget ($50, duh). So I went into Borders, going to the usual sections. The Star Wars book section. They changed it a bit. Found the second installment of Dark Nest, post New Jedi Order series.
But that wasn't what I was talking about. What's really exciting? Well, I went to the music section for fun, even though I new I won't be getting any album (BitComet is free!). I felt like looking for the Coldplay 'section' for fun. Just to see if there were still copies of X&Y left. And guess what I found- Brothers & Sisters!!!! Coldplay's FIRST EVER EP!!! Before their first album! It was the first CD they ever released! I couldn't believe what I saw. I knew of that EP. I actually already got the songs via Bit Torrent. But this was the actual CD! Never would I have thought that it could be found in Singapore. I remember checking Amazon, and the prices were like, 10 pounds or something. And here it was, for $10. I couldn't believe my eyes. I checked for other copies. No, there was only one. I quickly picked it up, and held it close to me until my brother found what he wanted and we could go and pay.
Of course, $10 may sound cheap, but there are only 3 songs on it. That's how EPs are. For those who don't know, EPs are like mini albums, or singles. We don't usually get singles in Singapore- only full albums. Dunno why.... lousy RIAS maybe.
Well, it turned out that the copy I got was a reprinted one from US. Not the original copy printed in 1999. LOL- if it was really one of the original copies, it wouldn't just be sitting there for $10 in Borders.
Woohoo! I didn't regret going to Borders at all.
Wah... raining, very strong wind now...
