YEAHHH!!! EXAMS OVER!!! No more exams! Yeah!
Haven't blogged for 5 days, I think. Not because I haven't come online... I have been online, albeit for a short while and for a few times before the HCL exam. I just wanted my 100th post to be 'special'. Now it is!!! It's my FIRST post after all my exams! Yeah! 2 months to slack! SONGBO!!!
But actually... I don't really feel that 'free'. I don't feel all that relieved that my exams are all over... Maybe it's 'cos I was already starting to slacken after the school exams, before the HCL O level exam. Or maybe it's 'cos I feel a little regret for not putting more effort into my zao ju and tian ci. I got 1/2 or a ciyu wrong, (缉拿 aargh, wrote ji wrongly), and I'm not really that confident of my zao ju for 一暴十寒 and 趾高气扬. I dread getting a B4 or lower... Well... I guess I can only wait till March next year to find out.
EDIT: Ok, wanted to add some more about the HCL exam. It was quite ok... though I was sort of struggling throughout the whole paper 1. Not that it was tough or anything- (We did the questions before! Quite similar, at least). My nose was giving me a terrible time. I used 4 whole tissue packets during Paper 1, and 2 during paper 2. And that answer booklet for Paper 1... AARGH. 20x15. Why couldn't they just use the standard 20x20?? I was so used to writing my zuowen and yingyongwen on the standard paper. I spent a lot of time worrying about whether I was writing enough for that paragraph, and thinking about how much more I needed to write. Usually, I can get a feel of how much more is left, just by seeing what page I'm on... So I ended up spending ONE WHOLE HOUR on the yingyongwen. Aargh. I was panicking when I started on my zuowen. But luckily I managed to rush through and I finished the zuowen with time to spare. One minute left, haha. Paper was quite ok generally, just the usual- very hard.
I still don't really feel that relaxed yet. I sort of have 'nothing' to do now. Two months suddenly seems like a bit too long for a holiday. Will I get bored? Aaaah! Hope not! Better find something to do... To quote something a fellow schoolmate said during the last assembly, "Get a life"!
Getting report card back on Friday- or is it Monday? Not too sure.. but I think my results should be quite good.... And there's still 4 more days of school! Wth. No more lessons of course... there's this "Festival of Sports" on Wednesday... I'm gonna play Ultimate Frisbee! LOL. And there's this stupid "Humanities in Celebrations" thingy. Aargh. Waste of time. Can't they just let us off earlier? Sigh... At least Tuesday and Thursday this week are public holidays... Deepavali and Hari Raya.
And I have to hand in the Subject Combination options form on Wednesday. They said that's the final submition! Wth. I don't feel comfortable choosing my combination now... but I'm gonna go with PCME H2 and B H1. I'm very reluctant to be choosing the very popular(boring) PCME... but I wanna do PCM, and I actually don't really wanna do any Humans subject, so I'm going with the "more practical" Econs. Even though I haven't done Bio, the topics for JC bio seems quite interesting, but I don't wanna do triple science H2, haha. Anyway, I can always drop Bio at the end of Year 1 if I can't cope...
So I guess it's PCMEb then...
EDIT: After some more thinking... I decided not to choose Econs after all. Sure, econs does give "more options", in terms of the types of courses available in U. But I just don't see myself doing anything that has to do with economics. I don't want to do any business related stuff. The topics for Geog at A levels seems more interesting. So in the end I chose PCMGb. Odd combination. So I had to enter a second choice- PCMEb. Hopefully I'll get my odd combi.
Looking forward to next year! Whee!
