Oh. I knew it'll be the last day of school tomorrow all along. And I knew I'll be getting my report book back on the last day of school. But I've only just realised that the report books will be given back to us tomorrow. Aah! I hope I do get an MSG of below 2...
Anyway, about today. Sucked. Humanities in Celebrations inspired a HATE for humanities in me. What the heck. We spent 1 and a half hours listening to some chinese guy talking about 人文的意义。 He was quite a good speaker, I think. But he got quite out of point. Not that I didn't mind his 'stories'. But he kept plugging his own magazine ("萌芽" I think). And he sort of talked only about the Literature aspect of the humanities. Can't blame him. It's the most "humans" of the humanities. lol
Many of us wanted to go home during the break. I wanted to too. But sigh, our class chairman so righteous... made us stay. So we went for another talk. Aargh. There were a few names I recognised- Mark O'Connor, 尤金, Suchen C. Lim, Catherine Lim. But WE DON'T GET TO CHOOSE which talk we wanna attend!!! I mean, we're already being forced to go to this stupid Humans thingy, let us choose the least unpleasent talk to attend! So in the end I got stuck with some fat old angmoh speaker at the library. Oh, then he introduced himself as Mark O'Connor. Oops. haha. But anyway, I only heard of his name- I didn't know what he did. So I found out he is and "environmentalist-poet". Err... ok. But the talk was not so bad. It was better than the Chinese one- not 'cos it's English, but 'cos it was shorter. And I think I saw an ex-nyps classmate... There were "guests" from other schools. Not sure, maybe I saw wrongly. EDIT: Yup, I did see wrongly.
Gimme MSG < 2.
Please?
