Day Two was really dull. All talks. Ended really fast for me 'cos I didn't opt for any of the special programmes, so I didn't have to stay back to take any of the selection tests. Went home at 1!
Oh, we got the subject combination forms. I thought us IP students didn't need to submit any forms anymore. Oh well. They printed our previous choice at the top of our personalised forms (had our names printed on it too). Apparently we're supposed to stick to what we chose. Why'd they give us the forms again then.
I'm not complaining though. Still sticking to PCMGb. Hopefully there'll be enough people with the same combination as me. So far I know two other people with PCMG (H1 doesn't matter). That's a start. According to all those exam statistics, in 2004 only 28 from our school sat for the Geog paper. Wth. So little people took Geog. I feel special, lol.
What's the big deal about Econs anyway? Almost everyone I ask says, "More career options", or "More uni courses", something to that effect. Ok, fine, that's reasonable. But does it mean that EVERY SINGLE subject has to do with your future career path? Then they say, "pick econs for backup". Now that is really sad. Backup? What the heck. You mean if you actually fail to get the university course(s) you want, you use your Econs grade to get into a course you didn't really plan on doing? Well, if you're ok with any thing for your future, that's not my problem... I just don't think I'll have any use for Econs. And that doesn't mean I have a use for Geog. Since both are 'useless' to me, I might as well pick the one that I like more. So there.
Tomorrow doesn't seem that packed. Ends at four though. Some short talks, then two "Hexathlons". Hm...
EDIT: Oh, it's not two Hexathlons. Just Hexathlon part 1 and 2. (Wth. I keep typing "Hexathlong". The "g" just comes naturally after I type n...)
