Just came back from JTS (junior class treat senior class). Quite bloated. But not as full as I thought I'd be. We ate at some a la carte buffet place called Rice Table. Haha, not only is it a buffet, but it's "a la carte buffet!" So we just sit at the table ordering. Maybe it's cos there are girls or something, but I just felt like we didn't eat much. We didn't eat our twenty bucks worth! Took a lot of photos though. Not of me- of others, haha. Sigh, had to pay forty bucks- paying for a senior's share as well. I'm still a little sore about the whole didn't-go-for-STJ-but-went-for-JTS-thing. That means I lost money. Oh well. Hopefully there'll another STJ sometime soon.
We walked for a bit before deciding to go to the Esplanade. So we took a bus there. Some of us walked all the way there (from cuppage), but I was slack, so I joined the bus-taking group. Wise decision. The walking-group took very long to finally meet up with us at, to quote someone, "A 'piss' of concrete" (basically just some wide open concrete space) outside the Esplanade. Sat around doing nothing much. Some played Truth-or-Dare, complete with a spinning glass bottle. I didn't dare, and I'm a liar, so I didn't play, haha.
Hm... I wonder if I ate too much. I know I ate quite a lot more than normal. But it's probably ok. Definitely not as bad as this time I remember, from long ago:
I was very young. Well, quite young anyway. One-digit age I think. It was a buffet. I can remember eating so much that I felt sick and had to vomit. For some reason, this incident really stuck in my mind ever since then, haha. I keep recalling it now and then. But it's hasn't really made me so conscious of my eating habits. Hello- that happened almost 10 years ago? haha.
As I said, I got back quite late. The refreshing effects of the shower I just took are wearing off. Sleepy....
EDIT 5th March: Just looked through the photos I took. Reminded me of something I wanted to talk about. We met at Somerset MRT station before heading to Rice Table. I was happily shooting away with my camera when someone wearing the MRT personnel uniform walked past me, adding casually, "boy keep your camera before I confiscate it", before walking away. WTH. Yeah, ok I know, the stupid terrorist threat measures. But WTH. He really pissed me off. I had half the mind to continue taking photos, but my classmates said I'd better stop. I didn't like that guy's tone though. Who does he think he is? It's not as if there are signs around saying "no photo-taking allowed". If there were, ok, I MIGHT follow the rules. But in the first place I knew nothing about any restriction on photo-taking in the MRT stations. What gives that guy the right to walk up people and hand out threats? He's abusing hs authority, I'd say.
Whoops. It's already a day after the incident, but just blogging about it has got me so worked up, haha.
