One week holidays are really short. Term two coming up. I don't feel the excitement for school that I usually have just before school reopens though. That's probably cos.... I haven't finished my work! Or actually, to be more accurate, I only just started!
Anyway, here's a recap of the past few days...
Piano on Tuesday as usual. And I did my theory hw last minute again haha. Oops. It's sort of a habit. Very rarely do I complete my theory hw a few days before the lesson. Piano's getting more fun all the time. I suppose when you get to the higher grade the pieces get more interesting and fun.
Wednesday was the day of the choir workshop! I got an sms on Tuesday night about some choir senior organising a morning jog before the workshop, which started at 9.30 (or actually 8.30- one hour practice first). I actually went for it! There were only 4 of us who turned up for the run though. How pathetic. Oh well- it's choir- a performing arts group, not some sports group. The run was quite fun though. Around the school compound. Not just any typical school compound. The compound of the entire HCI!. Twice. Almost as tiring as the macritchie cross country run. I was tired, but satisfied, after the run. Much needed exercise.
The guest conductor was finnish. "Westerner". So it wasn't really surprising that he was a little eccentric, I guess. Mr Thomas, my civics tutor, is also a bit like him. Anyway, it was quite a new experience. Apparently his conducting style is much different compared to that of our own conductor's. I dunno. I wasn't really paying attention to how he conducted. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway. Still a newbie. Althought I did notice that quite often, instead of starting with, "3, 4", he'd go, "ooh, ah", or something like that. Rather amusing, haha.
We went through Double-Toil and Elijah Rock. I think I can almost memorise both songs already! Yay. Won't need to hold on to my scores. Hm... speaking of scores, we got to use original scores that day, cos apparently the guest conductor was the one who sold us the original Double-Toil scores. Lol what luck. So we couldn't use our photocopied version, or we may get sued, like some other JCs in the past. He never suspected a thing, that guest conductor. After the end of the whole workshop though, one of the seniors was shouting, "Please return the original scores". I immediately looked at the conductor when I heard that. He looked suspicious, lol. But nothing happened. Not that I know of, anyway. Hopefully nothing'll happen when we go back for practice on Monday haha.
At night, I finally started on............. my tutorials! Completed a chem tutorial haha.
So that was Wednesday. Thursday(today)? Well, another day at home. I played a bit of FFX, but then I got a major setback- one hour of progress into the game when my party got wiped out. Had to replay. Sigh. So I stopped playing. Did a little bit of work. Still got a lot left to do though. Sigh... And there's that Econs timed assignment (euphemism for test) on Monday. Siiighh.
The last 3 days of the hols are not gonna be as slack. Time to shift into work mode once again.
Wait. Was I ever in "work mode"? Lol.
